BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operational Product Data Manager is responsible for leading a team of Operational Product Data Specialists and overseeing the global operational data maintenance. Operational Product Data includes product statuses, item discontinuation, phase out and substitution processes, consistent buy and sell units of measure, trade agreement eligibility and other critical data. This role creates and documents Standard Operation Procedures, defines service levels, and provides reporting, analysis and insights to stakeholders including Category Strategy, Category Operations, Inventory and Purchasing, Logistics and Sales. The Manager of Operational Product Data fosters a high-performance and inclusive culture, leveraging current and new technology, and striving for continuous process improvement to accelerate productivity. Competencies include associate skill and career development, onboarding/training, goal setting, compliance with world class Supply Chain practices, and a high standard of customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Creates and documents Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the management of global operational data.

· Develops Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor activity, and resource activities as needed to sustain service levels.

· Develops, leverages, and maintains technology and analytics to drive performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

· Drives the expansion of technology to automate manual processes and increase productivity.

· Leads and coaches a team through the identification of bottlenecks, duplication of work, or unaddressed needs in current and future processes.

· Drives processes that ensure accuracy of product status and effectively communicates item availability to customers and associates.

· Manages Trade Agreement, Customs, and other regulated procurement data to meet customer requirements and compliance standards.

· Coordinates with Category, Logistics, Inventory, Purchasing, Sales and other functions to enable a superior end-to-end customer purchasing experience.

· Presents challenges, propose solutions, and ensure alignment across cross-functional leadership

· Generates reporting and conduct analysis to provide insights to Business Units and Cross-Functional Leadership

· Leads the team through various data cleanup efforts and allocate resources appropriately.

· Leads special projects and perform additional duties as required. Leadership:

QUALIFICATIONS What You Need:

· Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.

· Minimum of five years of experience leading others required.

· MS Office proficiency required

· Demonstrated ability to build a high performance team required

· Solid business acumen and knowledge of data management required

· Excellent ability to lead a team through standardizing documentation of processes required

· Strong leadership abilities with a commitment to the organizations mission required

· Customer focus and attention to detail required

· Demonstrated ability turning data into actionable insights

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively required

· Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with leadership to influence and drive change required

· Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills required.

· Demonstrated history of establishing clear team goals, performance indicators and embracing training and development of the team required. Bonus Points If You Have:

· Master’s Degree preferred.

· Experience using SAP, Jira, STIBO STEP, Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, Looker

· Knowledge of industrial, metalworking, or MRO products

· Knowledge of Product Information and Data Management practices

· Knowledge of Logistics and/or Trade Compliance, Laws and Regulations Other Requirements:

· A valid driver’s license is required.

· Position requires up to 10% of travel

· This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”) - if needed for specific orgs/roles.

Telework

Compensation starting at $75000 - $103000 depending on experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
