Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the construction contractor industry. The role is based in Dayton NT, Ohio, and will involve working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is crucial. The job function involves processing project-related invoices, maintaining spreadsheets, and providing general administrative support.
Responsibilities:
• Process project-related invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Enter subcontracts and large purchase orders into the system.
• Ensure compliance with purchase order and subcontract documentation.
• Compile weekly open payable reports.
• Conduct check runs and handle sales tax matters.
• Maintain and create spreadsheets for various purposes.
• Prepare job cost entries as per the project requirements.
• Carry out expense report and credit card reconciliation and cost allocation.
• Provide general administrative support for all departments.
• Utilize skills in account reconciliation and MS Excel to manage tasks effectively.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role within the construction/contractor industry
• Proficiency in using MS Excel for financial reporting and data analysis
• Experience in Account Reconciliation
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be authorized to work in the country
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred but not required
