Software Engineer Software Engineer, Journeyman Wright Patterson Air Force Base Dayton, Ohio HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. HX5 is currently seeking an Software Engineer to join our team at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in support of the Special Operations Forces Program Office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Will support software development activities for defining, developing, testing, and fielding Operational Flight Program upgrades. Will provide support in developing system performance requirements. Will support software safety analysis and assess new and modified functionality of all systems for flight critical, flight essential, or safety critical. Education andExperience Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Three (3) years of related experience. Two (2) years of DoD experience in avionics, software, or test. Must be proficient with Microsoft Project Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Other Position Requirements: Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. Must be able to travel, including air travel.
