JBK Manufacturing is seeking to fill the following role, Shipping & Receiving Lead. We are a growing company and we are looking for candidates who are looking to continue their career growth.
Responsible for Productivity of the S/R Department while managing all tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
S/R Team Leader is directly responsible for the following activities:
-Ensures the accuracy of all shipping documents and gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping activities. (Records may be maintained via ERP System software)
- Assures that shipping counts match picking documents and assists in resolving any discrepancies.
- Manages the verification of goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting Non-Conforming items where necessary. (Records may be maintained via ERP System software)
-Responsible for ensuring that all shipping and/or receiving documents and functions are completed effectively, accurately and on time.
-Communicates with customers as required and develops all inbound and outbound freight schedules to support customer requirements demand.
-Keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and verifies items are ready for shipment. (Records may be maintained via ERP System software)
-Verifies outbound shipments for accuracy and readiness for customer delivery.
-Collects all documentation for outbound freight and routes to the proper record keeping authority.
-Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer shipping specifications.
-Schedules inbound and outbound freight to comply with S/R Operations and capacities.
-Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
-Ensures the accuracy of all receiving documents and gathers and matches forms (PO, packing slip, computer printout) relative to receiving activities.
-Assures that receiving counts match purchase orders and packing slips documents and assists in resolving any discrepancies.
-Distributes all receiving paperwork to the applicable authorities.
-Identifies backorders and materials requiring expedited handling procedures.
-Verifies orders received by others to ensure accuracy of incoming merchandise.
-Manages inter-plant material movement
-Manages Fork Lift Training Program
-All other tasks requested by production management and/or necessary to provide our customer high quality, low cost, 100% on-time and accurate product deliveries.
Education and Skill requirements:
-High school degree or equivalent job experience in a managerial leadership capacity -Demonstrated ability to manage administrative functions in a job shop manufacturing environment.
