Community Blood Center Supply Chain Supervisor in Dayton, Ohio

The Supply Chain Supervisor: Assists Director in selection, training, orientation, leadership, evaluation, and counseling of employees. Oversees day to day logistics operations (storeroom, receiving, material handling, intra-company supply transportation) keeping with all applicable standards of accreditation and all regulatory requirements. Ensure materials handling staff, materials handling systems, processes and activities are in alignment with the sound OSHA safety guidelines and practices. Develops, implements and maintains all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed for the uniformity and quality of operations and in keeping with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Drives continuous improvement activities related to Supply Chain department. Assists in development and achievement of departmental goals consistent with Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (Solvita's) mission and strategic plan. Meet operational strategies defined by management by analyzing trends, preparing critical measurements, implementing productivity improvements and resolving problems. Assists in budget development and ongoing monitoring expenses. Works effectively to maintain interdepartmental communication, cooperation, and respect. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience in multiple facets of Supply Chain required to include buying, material and information flow, inventory control and distribution. Previous supervisory experience. Work Environment/Physical Activities: Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
