Who We Need Sabel Systems requires a technically skilled agile project lead to support development and management of Digital Engineering applications across both the DoD and Commercial spaces. The agile project lead's chief responsibility is to manage development sprints effectively and efficiently from planning-to-execution-to-review in an agile development environment. The chosen candidate will be proficient in infrastructure and architecture concepts to lead and manage projects. The candidate will have a sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively. The chosen candidate should have a solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment. The role will include running daily scrums, managing the product backlog, collaborating on requirement documentation, managing support tickets, and unblocking barriers to keep the team moving. The chosen candidate will be responsible to communicate and collaborate primarily with the development, customer success, and senior management teams. Facilitates daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and iteration retrospective Manages the development projects and facilitates sprint releases Creates or analyzes business requirements documents and project timelines Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates Determines best approach to project execution (agile, traditional, or a mix) Drives team iteration execution, communicates with management and stakeholders, protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional) Manages project conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance Works with the team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks Provide leadership to system analysts, system architects, and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value Able to do postmortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity Leads team effort in relentless improvement, define and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the program Implements and supports principles, rules and processes Proactively identifies and eliminates impediments and facilitates flow Maintains team data in project management software (i.e. JIRA, etc.) to support estimates and execution Presents high level project readouts for senior management Supports product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope Manage other special projects as assigned Other duties as needed Your Qualifications Required Minimum 8+ years of project management/agile/development experience and 4+ years
