Job Title: Control Systems TechnicianJob Description
Support the maintenance department by assisting in the troubleshooting of equipment issues, which includes troubleshooting PLC ladder logic and data handling functions. Maintain PLC documentation upon receipt from equipment suppliers and an archive of PLC programs and machine controls drawings in an electronic and/or paper format throughout the facility. Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve automated equipment including devices, I/O, instruments, and all other components associated with automated processes to meet production and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot various I/O devices connected to PLCs, including HMIs, scanners, remote I/O, sensors, relays, solenoids, etc.
Support and assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting pneumatic circuits.
Improve equipment uptime and contribute to plant reliability maintenance.
Schedule and complete backups of all electronic machine control and robotic programs on a set schedule.
Develop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Programs.
Diagnose problems with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical and electronic systems.

Work Environment
The work environment includes maintaining and troubleshooting various automated equipment and systems. The role requires working with technologies such as PLCs, HMIs, scanners, sensors, relays, and solenoids. The position involves diagnosing issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical and electronic systems. Regular backups of electronic machine control and robotic programs are required, as well as the development and maintenance of Preventive Maintenance Programs.
