Ford Motor Company Director, Talent and Organization Development in Dearborn, Michigan

The Director, Talent & Organization Development is a key leadership role within the Culture/Transformation & Organization Effectiveness team. This individual will be a driving force in diagnosing, designing, implementing, and measuring global culture interventions and initiatives aligned with Ford's strategic objectives. This role calls for a blend of strategic vision, deep understanding of organizational dynamics, and a hands-on approach to embedding sustainable change.

The role has full management authority for staffing, performance, disciplinary action, pay decisions, team development, and other personnel actions.

Culture Transformation Strategy and Implementation:

Develop a comprehensive change roadmap in support of Ford’s plans to transform our culture, aligned with business priorities, regional nuances and our talent strategy. Design change management interventions for a global and diverse workforce, considering unique needs across segments and functions. Build change awareness and capability among HR and key business partners to embed core principles.

Culture Diagnostics and Measurement:

Integrate robust diagnostic tools and metrics to track change effectiveness, partnering with People Analytics. Analyze data and draw from external benchmarking to generate actionable insights and enable strategic decision-making for senior HR leaders and other stakeholders.

Partnership and Collaboration:

Lead culture transformation efforts, collaborating across HR Centers of Excellence to reflect cultural shifts in HR programs. Engage Global Change Leads for effective deployment across regions. Support HR Business Partners in cascading initiatives within business units. Partner with Senior HR leaders and Corporate Communications to enhance and scale transformation efforts through consistent messaging and leader engagement.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, or Organizational Change, or a closely related field.

  • 8-10 years of progressive practitioner experience designing, leading, facilitating, and measuring the impact of large-scale culture transformation initiatives in a global organization is required.

  • Demonstrated experience applying organization effectiveness and change management methodologies and frameworks within a global context. Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, driving both short-term impact and long-term objectives.

  • Deep domain expertise in organizational diagnostics and analytics, utilizing a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to assess the effectiveness of organizational change interventions and tracking progress against key metrics.

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling and connected narratives and tailor culture messaging to diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and navigate ambiguity and complex stakeholder environments.
