Insight Global Facilities Layout Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an AutoCAD Layout Engineer to join one of our automotive clients in Dearborn, MI. The person in this position would be responsible for supporting cycle plan cost studies, layout development, project layout coordination, new model program status tracking and master schedules, conveyor and facilities procurement and implementation and overall support for conveyors and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support facility layout development
* Including system analysis, x-sections, and coordination with key stakeholders
- Support development of study alternates and risk and opportunities layouts
- Support New Model Program Facilities Change-over plan development
- Development of body shop layout efficiency lean layout metrics
- Lead Brass Tag layout and set-up for conveyor and related facility items
- Support Implementation Team with development of bid specifications and clarification leading to PO Award for conveyor and related facilities integration/installation of initial Conveyors and Facilities Installation Milestone Schedule
- Support Production/Maintenance Optimization Team by providing "as needed" emergency support for current model production tooling and conveyors breakdown response, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up
- Support Mechanical Standards Engineer by providing "lessons learned" feed-back for mechanical standards/specifications updates

Compensation:
$38/hour - $44/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Experience working in the Automotive industry
- Experience using 2D and 3D AutoCAD
- Layout experience: designing layouts of building, facilities, equipment, piping, utilities, process flow etc. null
