The Battery Manufacturing Engineering team is opening new highways with our next-generation propulsion systems. We're investing over $50 billion to build some of the most technologically advanced EV manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and E.U. to produce the next generation of Ford electric vehicles. What you’ll be able to do:

• Work with team to design, run off, install, and launch high volume battery packs

• Provide manufacturing input to product design

• Support assembly station, transport, and test equipment design & procurement

• Simultaneous Engineering - Digital Job 1 (Virtual Validation)

• Manage OEM Runoff, Installation, Commissioning, Launch RoC

• Support costs study submissions as required

• Review lessons learned and incorporate into process development

• Develop PFMEA’s and work with PD to complete SCCAF’s

• Follow MPS and ensure PD is following specified MDS

• Cycle Line Layout/Facilities Layout

• Develop statement of work for initial PO’s for Design and Build

• Support/write PO’s

• Support MIDAS deliverables for equipment validation

• Ensure OEM’s are providing quality SOW for installation. Support equipment installation planning and install

• Lead and support builds through ROC. Lead and support issue resolution from builds PDCA

• Documented standardized work instructions

• Collaborate with all levels of personnel, for the duration of a program

• Travel outside of SE-Michigan region

The minimum requirements we seek:

• BS Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)

• Launch experience in assembly

• Strong understanding of assembly systems

• Scope of work development proficiency

• PFMEA/FMEA/Risk Assessment proficiency

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8 .
