The Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer is a member of Ford Motor Company's Product Development organization, co-located at the Dearborn Truck Plant (DTP) along with the Operations team. The PVT Engineer for a given Function has several responsibilities associated with analyzing and improving the Quality of the Ford F-150 built in Dearborn, MI. The PVT engineer utilizes Quality metrics derived early in the life of vehicles and works on addressing error states to improve Quality for our customers.
The PVT Engineer works as a part of the Variability Reduction team which is comprised of members from various Skill Teams at Ford. The work is fast-paced and involves absorbing information from numerous sources, both internal and external to the company, drilling down and assessing the information in an effort to reduce variability at the component and system levels. The work is challenging and requires hours of sustained application while operating within the cadence of an Assembly Plant. In this position…
Responsible for Body Interior systems on F150 Battery Electrical Vehicle.
Support plant on any Stop ships, campaigns, quality issues.
ECB binning/re-binning, read claims, contact dealerships on parts, make HOT requests to ship parts to suppliers for root cause evaluation.
What you'll do…
Manage BSAQ project inputs, project health, and glidepaths.
Provide part sign-off's to support builds.
Review and sign-off SREA's.
Support Plant MCR blitzes.
Chair/support Interior VRT meetings.
Support FTT issue resolution at plant.
Participate in Dearborn-based VFG and FQR meetings when on the agenda.
Cooridnate/Support engineering change trials. Use local supplier rep if available.
Support fresh eyes reviews on pre-builds.
You'll have…
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
1+ years experience in PD/Quality/Program/Manufacturing.
Even better, you may have…
Experience working in GSAR/BSAQ/QED.
WERS experiences a plus.
