In this position...

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical IT Product Manager for our North America Vehicle Ordering Product team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT product management and possess advanced skills in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires a professional with excellent collaboration skills, capable of managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT products, from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

This is a hybrid work opportunity and the team is normally onsite 2-3 days/ week in Dearborn, MI.

What you'll do...

  • Roadmap Planning : Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, working closely with product owners and end users to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product backlog: Create user stories, epics, and features, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and business goals.

  • Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product owners, software engineers, end users, and customer support, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery.

  • Product Development: Oversee the product development lifecycle, including defining requirements, creating user stories, and working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time.

  • UI Workflow Design and Development : Lead the design and development of user interfaces and workflows to ensure intuitive and efficient user experiences.

  • GCP Expertise: Utilize advanced skills in Google Cloud Platform to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

  • SRE and DORA Practices: Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and leverage DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) metrics to enhance product reliability, performance, and deployment efficiency.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analytics and user feedback to make informed decisions about product features, enhancements, and prioritization.

  • Agile Methodology: Implement and promote Agile best practices to ensure efficient and effective product development processes.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Customer Focus: Ensure that customer needs and feedback are at the forefront of product development efforts, enhancing user experience and satisfaction.

  • Overall Product Support: Provide comprehensive support for the product, including post-launch maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with duties including but not limited to:

  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into actionable product features.

  • Excellent collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • 2+ years as a Product Manager/Owner focused on cloud-based solutions. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred, but experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is acceptable.

  • 2+ years’ experience building UI/UX workflow design and development.

Even better, you may have...

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or related field

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification is highly desirable.

  • Experience in designing and implementing data models to support product features and analytics.

  • Knowledge and experience in implementing SRE practices and utilizing DORA metrics.

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry, particularly in vehicle ordering systems, is a plus.

  • A track record of driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions in a fast-paced environment.

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 .
