Amentum Vehicle Performance Cross Program Electrical Systems Integration Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan
The Ford Performance Cross Program team requires additional System Integration support involving specific electrical systems tasks.
Vehicle Electrical Systems on-site support for DCV Prototype Launch, including Systems Integration, Functional Testing, Key-Off-Load (KOL) Testing, Functional Anomaly Testing, KOL Anomaly Testing and Root Cause Analysis of Issues as well as internal customer vehicle issue resolutions and support tasks for System Integration Technical Design Reviews at specified milestones.
Deliverables:
Q1 (3/31/25):
• Modify Base program Boundary Diagram with unique content and review Quality history for any unique program content
• Ensure that the Power Mode for all new components is documented in the Vehicle Program Fusing Assessment
• Power At All Times (PAAT) Report, as required
• High Hurts Checklist Open Issues reviewed and captured with Campaign Prevent Engineer
• Campaign Prevent Items reviewed with Systems Tech Specialist (TS)
• 100% DCV Design Transmittals (DT) released in Vehicle Software Engineering Management (VSEM/GDT) Database
• Use of Generic Power Distribution Strategy (VPWRDS) to develop the Specific Vehicle Power Distribution Fusing Strategy
• Completed Vehicle Specific Grounding Strategy and reviewed with System TS
• DCV Compatibility review Checklist is complete
• Completed Physical Schematics Reviewed with TS
• FDJ Systems DVPs assessed with test completion dates
• Engineering Deviations approved and uploaded to Global Integrator
• FDJ TDR with System TS Complete
Q2 (6/30/25):
• DCV Yellowboard (YB) Rework Instructions where required for wiring and module connections for YB tech support
• Supervise and manage the DCV Trim Build Reworks with wiring supplier and DCV YB and build support technicians
• Support On-Site Yellowboard and Trim Build Support and Root Cause Analysis
Bus Queries on BBs/YBs/EBBs/Vehicles as needed to confirm SW pedigree and flash updated SW to latest releases
• Update any Systems FMEA where required
• Complete Functional / Functional Anomaly Testing on prototype and production launch vehicles before sign-off
• Complete KOL / KOL Anomaly Testing on prototype and production launch to ensure a good sample to validate that there are no modules keeping the bus awake after Ignition Off
Q3 (9/30/25):
• Report out and review any changes to Logical, Physical schematics, Fusing or Grounding strategies, DVP, CAE Test Results or DVP since UPV2 through PEC Technical Design Review
• Updated System FMEA documents
• PAAT Applications and PAAT components have been reviewed in the campaign prevent reviews
• Support the Netcom team with the VSCS draft completion
• Generic System PV Test Plan Created
• Support the Netcom team with the VSCS TT Release Completion
• Complete System PV Test Plan and Load documents into FEDE
Q4 (12/31/25):
• EOL Validation at DSC of all IVS released SW releases ahead of the Tooling Trial Build Start and vehicle (s) procurement for the EOL validation
• Ensure all EOL Validation supported software releases are tested and signed-off
• Support On Site Plant Launch Build and root cause build issues
• Support and facilitate closure of AIMs issues with 48 hours turnaround
• Support and facilitate closure of JIRA / GIMT issues
• Support Daily Build Walk Around and End of Shift meetings
• Support resolution of DEMS/VoCF/R202 and PVP Drive Issues
• Track and work with interfacing engineers to close out open Diagnostic Trouble Shooting Codes for their modules

o Obtain access to all necessary engineer applications (i.e. FEDE DVP TCe, WERS, AIMS, JIRA, Wiki, Connected Data Sites, QUIP, Qualifier, Share Point, Global 8D, IVS, DCR Database, VSEM, FEDEBOM, eDeviation, etc.)

• BS Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in automotive electrical systems
• 5+ years of disciplined, team-based problem solving (6 Sigma preferred)
• Understanding of GPDS deliverables and basic Ford Engineering tools (FEDE BOM / WERS / GPDS / Bill of Material / FMA / AIMS / 8Ds / FEDE DVP / Engineering Sign Off / DFMEA / Six Sigma)
• Experience launching new vehicles and working with a Cross-functional Team
• Experience with Vector CAN tools, (DET) Diagnostic Engineering Tool, Multimeter, Module Software flashing, CAN network troubleshooting, Bus Queries, Radmoon, CAN log and data collection, MyCanic Tool, Vehicle configuration (VSCS)
