MLB Tax & Accounting Enrolled Agent Tax Consultant in Decorah, Iowa
Looking for your next career move? We are seeking a talented, outgoing, and motivated individual with a tax accounting background, interpersonal skills, and industry experience to work at our tax and accounting firm with a diverse clientele. The candidate would be an experienced accountant who will collaboratively build relationships with clients and offer tax and accounting knowledge and services in conjunction with the Senior Tax Consultant.
This is a permanent position with room to grow. This is NOT a remote position.
Must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and tax preparation software (preferably Lacerte).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
- Prepare and file Quarterly Sales Tax returns for states related to clients needs.
- Prepare (using QBD or QBO) and analyze Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheet
- Post year-end journal entries.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve day to day accounting issues for multiple clients daily.
- Must be well organized and a self-starter that is results driven.
- High degree of accuracy and detail orientated.
Preferred Attributes:
- Post-secondary education in business or accounting, with minimum 3 years experience in tax preparation.
- Enrolled Agent credentials with up-to-date continuing education requirements.
- Skill to multitask, shift priorities and work independently, as well as being a team player.
- Proficiency in Estate, Trust, Corporation, Partnership, Non-Profit and individual tax return preparation.
- Bi-lingual preferred but not required.?
