Guam Ukudu Power LLC Field Welder in Dededo, Guam
- Job Description - Performs different type of welding on carbon and alloy steels for ASME and/or other relevant codes related to welding. - Reads and understands drawing, measuring and cutting materials with the prescribed specification. - Performs heating and cutting on all types of power plant equipment. Understands basic metallurgy and performs pre- and post-weld heat treatment. - Performs mechanical maintenance and skilled work as necessary. - Uses and maintains any equipment necessary to perform job. - Performs similar and related work consistent with the general nature of this job classification. - Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues - Support fieldwork when the task is not available 2. Requirement for applicant - High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machine or a related field preferred - Proven 5+ years work experience working in an electrical generation power plant or similar industrial concern with at least three years' experience working as a Field welder or equivalent. - Must have successfully completed a certified welder apprenticeship or equivalent training, with documentation - ASME Section IX Certification preferred - Physically fit to perform manual labor and work in challenging environments - Knowledge of safety protocols and certification - Fluent English speaking / writing - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Strong teamwork and communication Skills. - Valid drivers license 3. Preferred Qualifications - Must be able to perform all essential functions as identified by the Company.
