Robert Half Purchasing Manager in Deerfield Beach, Florida

Description

We are in the market for a meticulous Purchaser to join our team in the Service industry based in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing tasks related to the construction side, coordinating with job sites, maintaining inventory, liaising with the team on projects, and managing vendor relationships and pricing. This role also requires a tech-savvy individual with experience using QuickBooks for Purchase Orders and proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Excel. Plumbing Industry exp is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Oversee purchasing activities for the construction side of operations

• Coordinate with job sites and internal teams on various projects

• Maintain and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth operations

• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness

• Use QuickBooks for managing Purchase Orders and other related tasks

• Utilize Microsoft Teams and Excel for effective communication and data management

• Occasionally drive to pick up parts and deliver them as required

• Use inventory software that links to QuickBooks for efficient inventory management

• Exhibit strong organizational skills to effectively manage the role

• Utilize skills in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, About Time, Buying Processes, Component Selection, Customer Service, Manufacturing, QuickBooks Enterprise, and Inventory Controls.

Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel

• Experience with About Time software

• Understanding of Buying Processes and Component Selection

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise

• Experience with Inventory Controls

• Previous role in Service industry as a Purchaser

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred

• Proven experience in a similar role within the service industry

• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
