Job: Injection Molding Process Technician

Primary Location: Defiance, Ohio

Employment Type: Hourly/ Full-Time

Department: Production/ Injection Molding

Job Summary:

The Injection Molding Process Technician is responsible for setting molds and starting presses within established process guidelines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Contribute to the overall success of the company by completing all assigned duties in a professional and timely manner.

· Ability to process and operate Injection Molding Machines

· Monitor, maintain and recommend improvements to standard molding cycle times and part quality.

· Launch new molds and obtain first piece approval to engineering standards. Develop and implement operating instructions working closely with QA.

· Develop and implement well-managed process for mold changes to optimize uptime and ensure performance objectives are achieved. Continuously explore opportunities to reduce changeover times.

· Ability to program and troubleshoot Injection molding robots

· Ability to correctly handle/ clean all tooling and equipment without causing damage

· Set molds as required by schedule and process to conform to quality standard.

· Checking parts and their quality, while completing paperwork logs.

· Assist maintenance when needed on the injection molding presses and other processing equipment.

Skill:

· Knowledge of different plastic materials and their individual characteristics

· Knowledge of basic mathematics and the ability to apply it in a work situation.

· Understanding of mold construction

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Basic Computer Skills/ Ability to work a press HMI

· Ability to lift 50 lbs along with other physical exertion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per year
