Summary This position would be responsible for meal planning, preparation serving, clean up, shopping and food ordering from vendors, federal food program paperwork and general care and organization of the kitchen serving children from infants to 5th grade and staff of the center. Duties Meal preparation Purchasing food Taking pans in and out of the oven and off the stove Putting stock and groceries away, Cleaning the kitchen and cooks office Doing laundry for the center Planning meals and ensuring we have the supplies needed for the meals (i.e. shopping for and ordering food) Completing daily food program paperwork Communication with parents, staff and children Maintaining a good relations with all vendors, and church staff as well as Center staff and families. Helping maintain health department regulations. Being aware and helping ensure that any children with food allergies or special dietary restrictions get what they need.. Meeting Federal Food Program requirements. Possibly covering classrooms for short amounts of time Requirements Serve Safe or Ohio Health department Food manager training (can take upon hire) CPR/First Aid training (can take upon hire) Minimal of a high school diploma Criminal Record check Work Physical Nice To Haves Experience in this type of setting Experience with Federal Food Program Willingness to work with children also Benefits Monday - Friday flexible hours Paid holidays Paid personal days, vacations and sick time Discounts on childcare
