THE OPPORTUNITY
The Platform Engineer (Administrator) for Application Virtualization Platform is an experienced individual who can perform engineering activities on the Application Virtualization platform (i.e. design, build, testing, release, validation, and support)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute as a subject matter technical expert for Citrix Cloud DaaS administration and maintenance/operations/troubleshooting and all elements related the application environment.
Stay abreast of related technology and recommend future system enhancements, improving troubleshooting and reducing the manual tasks.
Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and implementing recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels or performance.
Responsible for Level 3 platform support and maintenance activities.
Contribute to platform architecture roadmap, in collaboration with platform owner, product manager, and platform architecture leads.
Provision, manage and maintain the software infrastructure that supports platforms
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, and/or Management Information Systems from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
2+ years of more experience with Agile methods / methodologies, and leading SCRUM / Lean / Kanban teams.
5+ years or more of relevant professional experience as a technology engineer
5+ years of Citrix and/or IT operational experience, including with relevant Microsoft technologies.
Proficient in Citrix Desktop/Application (Cloud) solution.
Experience in implementation, administration and troubleshooting experience on Citrix systems, including Provisioning Server (PVS), XenApp and XenDesktop
Knowledge of Netscaler, Gateway service, Director tool, Web interface, and App Streaming.
Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining Citrix infrastructure (License server, Storefront, Delivery Controller, Citrix Director, VDA Machines).
Hands-on experience in application deployment via SCCM.
Knowledge of MCS, PVS, and Server Build technologies.
Scripting commands to pull reports (PowerShell or similar).
Knowledge on AWS EC2 using golden AMI for Citrix MCS provisioning
Knowledge on Citrix Cloud performance and security analytics
Knowledge on Universal Hybrid Multi Cloud Citrix licensing
Knowledge on Citrix Cloud Application Delivery Administration
Experience in managing global enterprise Citrix Cloud Environments
Configuring license server and renewal/update licenses
Ability to create and manage XenApp policies and privileges.
Ability to customize the Citrix environment based on business requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Citrix issues and incidents.
Ability to perform application updates, changes, and migrations.
Ability to manage user profiles and access provisioning.
Ability to secure and monitor the Citrix environment.
Ability to perform capacity planning and analysis of the Citrix environment
Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud technology environments (AWS preferred)
Ability to communicate and coordinate with end-users and other IT teams.
Ability to create and maintain knowledge articles and documentation.
Ability to drive the support teams to meet SLAs for infrastructure uptime.
Ability to make recommendations on enhancements and performance issues.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
