We are looking for a highly driven and experienced:
Data Governance and Data Standards Specialist
to join our newly formed FAIR Data Management team within the Science and Research organization. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance policies and procedures, data standards, and data guidelines. You will also be terminology/ontology, ensuring data quality, and monitoring and reporting on data quality and compliance metrics. You are well versed with the FAIR principles and are a leader in the good data management discipline.

Key Responsibilities
DATA GOVERNANCE & DATA STANDARDS: develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and procedures, as well as R&D-wide data standards and guidelines.
SEMANTIC CATEGORIZATION: design a framework to maintain terminologies, ontologies, and taxonomies.
DATA QUALITY: create and deploy data quality assurance processes, including data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation.
FAIR PRINCIPLES and METADATA: work according to the FAIR principles and data management best practices.
MONITOR AND REPORT on data governance, data quality, and compliance metrics.
Closely collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and co-develop solutions.

Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 66,505 to € 95,007 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.
You Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science or related disciplines.
5+ years of experience in data governance/data standards/quality assurance or related field.
Strong understanding of FAIR principles and their application in data management.
Experience with terminology and ontology management in an R&D science-related organization would be advantageous.
Keep abreast of emerging trends and advancements in data management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong analytical and problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
