Delta County Engineering Technician in Delta, Colorado
POSITION: Engineering Technician
The Engineering Technician will be responsible for assisting the County Engineer with development project activities. Assist, as needed, on County projects of an engineering, surveying and technical nature.
DUTIES: * Review land development sketches, plans, and plats for engineering and design as well as compliance with all government requirements. * Perform basic civil engineering support functions including road design, design review, layout, road assessment, bridge evaluations, gravel pit operation support, traffic studies, and other support activities. * Assist in managing and maintaining records for county-owned underground and aboveground storage tanks. * Perform updates, general maintenance, and improvements to the County inventory records of assets found in county files, spreadsheets, databases, and maps. * Provide written and oral reports to County officials as well as the general public.
REQUIREMENTS: * Associates degree in architectural drafting required * 1 to 4 years of practical, progressive experience in a related field * Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Drone Pilot License * Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater * Qualified Preparer of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans * Candidate must pass a background investigation. * Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
PREFERRED SKILLS: * Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or other related engineering field
- Combination of education and experience could meet qualifications and deemed applicable.
WAGE: Level I - $24.54 to 26.99
Level II - starting at $28.22
Level III - starting at $31.04

SHIFTS: Full-time - 40 hours per week
