University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care.

Serving North Texas and surrounding areas, UBH Denton has provided a range of programs treating mental health illnesses and substance abuse issues since 2005. Our inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services offer supportive and compassionate care for adolescents and adults with specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

Shift: Day Shift - Full time

Position Summary:

The Director of Outpatient Services provides the leadership and strategic planning of the clinical services programs offered at the facility; ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and the facility’s performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include the overall administrative processes and management systems for all clinical services offered at the facility, promotion and maintenance of a therapeutic environment, and development and implementation of a clinical treatment programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and organize programs of clinical services based on specialized patient populations.

  • Maintain an awareness of community and market-related activities which includes knowledge of the activities of other providers, needs of local payers and the political climate related to mental health.

  • Provide a broad vision in the development of programs and the evaluation of current services offered.

  • Strategically solve problems that encompass the larger view of the organization, and establish goals by utilizing an understanding of organizational dynamics in planning and problem solving.

    Qualifications

    Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, social work, or related mental health field; Masters Degree preferred.

    Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years experience in advanced clinical/management practice. IOP/PHP experience required.

    License: Appropriate state licensure in mental health. LPC, LMSW, or LCSW preferred.

    Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, HCFA, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
