CoreSite, LLC Accounting Supervisor - 4BFD31E9E1 in Denver, Colorado

As a member of the company's Accounting team, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the general ledger property accounting function for all CoreSite entities. This position will oversee aspects of the general ledger function including but not limited to the following: assisting the Accounting Senior Manager with the daily management of Staff Accountants, review and preparation of monthly account reconciliations, assistance with tenant expense recovery reconciliations and audits, accuracy and timeliness of month end close and internal financial reporting, and assistance on quarterly and annual audits.

Duties Oversee Staff Accountants day-to-day responsibilities, including general accounting duties in compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures, U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal controls over financial reporting to maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404). Direct and coordinate the work of Staff Accountants. Assist the Accounting Senior Manager with the management and coordination of the month end close process for assigned markets. Assist in the monthly financial statement review process to ensure the reasonableness of the financials being reported. Prepare and/or review the monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including the timely resolution of reconciling items. Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accrual analysis, income statement analysis and financial close packages. Develop and implement sound accounting policies and procedures. Communicate directly with external auditors during audits. Prepare and/or review supporting schedules for quarterly and annual audits and SEC filings, as needed. Prepare and/or review tenant expense recovery reconciliations and audit support. Promote and demonstrate the behaviors consistent with CoreSite's culture and Guiding Principles. Special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley. Experience in monthly close process is required. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Excellent listening, written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Exhibits a strong work ethic and accountability to deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of JD Edwards (or other ERP systems) and Hyperion EssBase is a plus. High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.). Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.

Education/Experience: BA/BS or Masters degree in Accounting. CPA preferred. Minimum of five years property or corporate accounting experience is required. Experience in telecom and/or real estate industry is valuable.

Compensation:

Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $$80,000 and 90,000 annually.
