Job Location: North Campus, 6850 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO - on the road multiple days a week - Must have reliable transportation. This position requires frequent travel to all of Goodwill of Colorado's business units within the state of Colorado JOB SUMMARY: The Assembler, CI Equipment provides support for the organization-wide Continuous Improvement (CI) initiative. This includes helping train and coach employees on process improvement methodologies and auditing actual process performance. Moving or building equipment/materials to 5S production centers. This role works effectively with varied groups of people including individuals with disabilities and disadvantages, management, and employees at all levels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Works primarily, though not exclusively, in a Retail, Warehouse and Outlet setting. (Non- hybrid role). * Primarily building and moving equipment needed for events, including possibly driving company box truck and/or personal vehicle. * Learn and promote CI tools. * Emphasize the importance of standard work to gain efficiency in retail and other processing areas. * Help implement communication of CI schedule and outcome(s) of Kaizen events and studies. * Implementing standard work and teaching/coaching * Help implement, coach, and maintain visual performance tools, * Following up on action plans * Assisting all teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustained. * Check and maintain the driver maintenance of the vehicle assigned. Report any deficiencies to vehicle maintenance. Maintain fuel and oil consumption records as required by Goodwill directives. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: * Continuous improvement or LEAN experience preferred. Other: * Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment. * Must be safety and quality driven. * Ability to communicate effectively with and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, and management staff. * Ability to present to small groups. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment. * Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. * Ability to utilize smart phone apps and maintain cellular phone contact with the CI Team. * Must have strong work ethic, be a self-starter, problem-solver and team player. * Ability to understand and follow all Goodwill safety standards and guidelines. * Preferred Bilingual: Spanish/English * A valid Colorado driver's license without a history of violations is required; must also be able to operate a company vehicle. * Must have reliable trans ortation. This position requires frequent travel to all of Goodwill of Colorado's business units within the state of Colorado * Occasional overtime may be required *Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, they must be at least: * 19 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation), * 25 - 70 years of age for all passenger transportation services, * 21 years of age for CDL. Applicants/employee will be required to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and background check; applicants/employees must disclose all moving traffic violations or vehicle crashes (within the last three (3) years)(Note: not all violations are a disqualification for employment and each case will be reviewed by the insurance carrier); must have valid Colorado State driver license; must also be able to operate company vehicle, and adhere to all Federal, State, and local laws governing veh Applicant/employees using their personal vehicle for company business, must have valid vehicle insurance, valid driver license, and vehicle must be in roadworthy condition.
