Marathon Petroleum Corporation G&P Contract Administration Intern/Co-op Fall 2024 in Denver, Colorado

The candidate will learn and participate in typical contract management responsibilities include contract and system processing, approval authority analysis, approval and vetting routing working with various common contract management and related systems and software including Quorum, SharePoint, Adobe Sign, they will also lean from and work with ancillary functions including records management, insurance monitoring, and processing and sending out notices to producers. They will work with our Law Department and other primary stakeholder groups and sit in on contract negotiations and witness the contract redlining and review process.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Current university student in good standing

  • Pre-Law or similar major preferred

  • Working towards a career in Law or Contract Administration and Oil & Gas desirable

    Skills:

  • Work expeditiously and under time constraints.

  • Open to learning a variety of skillsets including contract and policy analysis, business communication, data entry and reporting.

  • Very organized and detail oriented.

  • Strong IT skills and experience with Microsoft O365 and PDF software experience preferred.

  • Communicates clearly and concisely both orally and in writing (including grammar and spelling).

  • Strong work ethics in areas of honesty, integrity, ownership, and knowledge.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Physical Demands: requires sitting throughout most of the day, interspersed with short trips throughout the office as needed to file, print, scan, etc. Some lifting of boxes containing physical files and records may be needed.

  • Work Environment: primarily in an office environment.
