Description
Trademark/Patent Paralegal
Our client, a leading AM Law 100 firm, is seeking a 5 plus years experienced Trademark Paralegal to support their dynamic IP Practice Group.
Responsibilities:
Manage trademark docket – US and foreign
Conduct trademark searches
Prepare and file trademark applications, office action responses, and maintenance documents
Communicate with foreign associates regarding filings, registration, etc.
Communicate with attorneys and IP Docket Specialist regarding docket entries and status of the same
Manage intake of newly acquired trademark portfolios as needed
Management of patent portfolios possible
Extensive client contact
Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of the Intellectual Property practice area
Ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects for several attorneys
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Requirements:
Paralegal Certificate required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred
5 plus years of trademark prosecution paralegal experience required.
Patent prosecution experience, a plus.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Paralegal role, preferably within the legal industry.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel is necessary.
• Experience with Case Management Software and Management Systems is required.
• Familiarity with LexisNexis is expected for conducting efficient legal research.
• Ability to handle billing functions and calendar management to ensure smooth operations.
• Experience in briefing, USPTO Filings, USPTO Searches, and handling Intellectual Property - Trademarks is essential.
• Knowledge of Foreign Trademark laws and procedures will be advantageous.
