Oversee all areas of a Major League Baseball player's physical and mental fitness in relation to his role as a professional baseball player. Design the athlete's nutritional plans. Evaluate the extent of the athlete's physical therapy needs before and after each game. Carefully evaluate each of the athlete's performances to optimize his fitness and help him avoid injury. Intervene during a game with an appropriate course of action and recovery should he be injured during gameplay. Collaborate with the team's medical staff and communicate to the athlete any diagnosis that might be made. Strategize recovery and rehabilitation programs to restore the athlete to full health. Be responsible for maintaining the athlete's physical fitness during the off-season. Travel with the athlete during the Major League Baseball season from March to October to different cities around the USA approximately 3-4 times per month.
