What you will do

The downstream Product Manager will be responsible for the implementation and execution of key marketing initiatives as outlined by strategic planning and business imperatives. This individual will support our salesforce and our customers on launching and commercializing new products to the portfolio as well as sustaining and growing Stryker’s presence in the market with our current portfolio. Key areas of support will include supporting arthroscopy.

  • Identify critical customer needs and preferences.

  • Advocate on the customer's behalf.

  • Identifie major initiatives, key issues, and benefits for customer needs

  • Contribute specific analyses to aid in the construction of the marketing plan using the marketing plan template

  • Collaborate in developing key strategy documents: strategic plan, annual marketing plan, product launch plans, etc.

  • Be responsible for achieving a budget target.

  • Identify factors that influence marketing strategy and positioning.

  • Organize product, shipment and organization for trade shows

  • Represent Stryker Sports Medicine portfolio on site at tradeshows

  • Exhibit product knowledge and competency for all products in the portfolio and be able to hold meaningful conversations with our customer.

  • Is the Subject Matter Expert for applicable products/product lines and able to field technical questions. [note: some products are more technical than others and will take longer to get to SME status]

  • Familiar with the field sales structure and the role of sales in the overall marketing mix.

  • Gather information for documents such as presentations, proposals, or product guides.

  • Demonstrate product features or applications to sales team or prospective clients.

  • Incorporate new products into ongoing sales/medical education curriculum

  • Support the on-label use and promotion of all products.

  • Describe the concepts and importance of sales forecasting.

  • Able to translate a product forecast into a product demand plan.

  • Assist in estimating sales trends in the market.

  • Identify factors that influence marketing strategy and positioning.

  • Can conduct financial analysis for pricing (contribution, breakeven, profit pool calculations)

Communication Strategy

  • Understand the various types of communication objectives.

  • Manage the content creation and development for Stryker.com as it relates to products in your assigned portfolio.

  • Understand the market positioning and strengths/weaknesses of key competitors.

  • Locate key recipients of marketing intelligence and information.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 4+ years of work experience required

  • 2+ years medical device or marketing experience preferred

$85,000 - $182,100 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
