Senior Associate, Solution Engineering (Salesforce) – Denver, Colorado or Austin, Texas

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new solutions within the Salesforce platform, maintain and improve existing software to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, and company goals.

  • Ensure that software functionality is implemented with a focus on code optimization and organization.

  • Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.

  • Work with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure.

  • Collaborate with various internal departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure Salesforce environment supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance.

  • Provide coaching to Junior Associates and Associates.

  • Works independently on complex projects.

  • Develop and implement data models, user interfaces, and workflows to automate and improve business processes.

  • Conduct unit testing and provide technical documentation for solutions.

  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and functionality to ensure the system is utilized to its fullest potential.

Role Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or related fields with 4+ years of professional experience, or MS with 3+ years of experience.

  • Knowledge and experience in configuring and developing on the Salesforce platform.

  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results.

  • Experience in Agile and Iterative development methodologies.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with partners globally.

Technical areas of expertise

  • Refactoring and working effectively with legacy Salesforce configuration code

  • Troubleshooting application issues in a complex code base, across widely varying customer ‘orgs’.

  • Refactoring and working effectively with legacy Salesforce configuration code.

  • Measuring and improving Salesforce application performance.

  • Comfortable with a Scrum project management style.

  • Full-stack Force.com platform developer: Platform Developer Advanced.

  • Experience with Apex Triggers, Batch Classes and @Future Methods, Controllers.

  • Calling REST web services from Apex, generating and parsing JSON in Apex

  • Visualforce Pages and Components, including Canvas

  • Effective Apex unit testing, including web service mocking

  • Javascript and jQuery, including effective Javascript design patterns; Javascript unit testing

  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce platform Best Practices, Governor Limits and workarounds

  • Be a Salesforce Certified Developer (401)/Platform Developer II (preferred)

Salary

The base salary range is $80,000 – $100,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
