We are looking for a skilled Sr Supply Planner (Smartwool) to join our VF Family.

Position Summary:

As the Sr Supply Planner for Smartwool, you will be responsible for procuring supply to meet service and inventory objectives. You will work to ensure on time deliveries from vendors and to customers. Key partners will include your Global Supply Planning Partners, Vendors, Sourcing, Logistics, Demand Planning, Distribution and Customer Service. Additionally, you will understand capacity constraints and work to resolve issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities:

Recommend and execute product purchases based upon demand inputs and other crucial supply planning criteria (current inventory levels, vendor capacity, minimums, and buy readiness). Issue purchase requisitions to Global Supply Planning team. Track conversion of purchase requisitions to vendor purchase orders. Provide monthly forecast to inventory planner for your categories for open to buy. Continually monitor demand needs and supply timing to identify issues and opportunities. Adjust supply timing as needed to improve service to customers and / or meet inventory objectives. Collaborate with Demand Planning when capacity is constrained to forecast/prioritize demand based on supply availability. Manage seasonal initial system set up and line plan validation within Supply Planning team. Closely partner with cross functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of current month financial objectives. Support the S&OP Supply Review meeting. Highlight issues and opportunities to drive improved supply chain operational performance and achieve business objectives. Provide leadership within the department, to other planners as well as those outside the direct group making suggestions for and implementing process improvements as needed. Participate in longer term view of supply availability taking into consideration demand needs by product type and any potential capacity or material constraints. Participate in key projects to evolve supply chain capabilities. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

Skills for Success:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to understand, assess, & problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment

  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively

  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, macro’s)

  • Understanding of reporting tools (Brio/SAP Business Objects/PowerBI)

  • Experience in project planning and implementation

  • Self-starter with excellent follow through

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • SAP System experience, a plus

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a Corporate Supply Chain environment; demand or supply planning desired.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university (preferred concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management)

  • APICS or Six-Sigma Certifications are a plus

Special Requirements:

  • Travel estimated at 5% or less of the time

Hiring Range :

$75,168.00 USD - $93,960.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
