The role will support federal, state, and local government clients to help them better understand, prepare, and respond to natural disasters, climate change, and sea level rise. Responsibilities

You will gather requirements, design, and write all aspects of our web stack, leveraging React, Go, Postgres, and Docker on AWS infrastructure to build websites and supporting back-end systems such as Batch & Lambda routines, REST APIs, and databases. You will write data munging / cleaning / pipelining routines. The role fits into an existing team of passionate developers and earth science modelers with backgrounds in hydrology, fluid dynamics, meteorology, computer science, geographic information systems (GIS), environmental science, civil engineering, and statistics.Projects are version-controlled in Git (GitHub). Some projects involve publicly accessible websites and/or open-source codebases. Many projects involve geospatial aspects and interactive maps leveraging vector and raster data.

Required Skills & Required Experience
