Griffin Health Rehabilitation Services Manager in Derby, Connecticut

MAIN FUNCTION: The Rehabilitation Services Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, staff engagement, quality patient care and financial performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Manages and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the dept.

  • Provides clinical supervision and facilitates staff development. Schedules and documents staff meetings and in-services. Participates in performance appraisals and follows applicable HR policies. Assists with orchestrating annual staff competency completion and ongoing maintenance of staff files.

  • Provides direct patient care in accordance with their licensure.

  • Consistently consults, communicates and collaborates with patient, family and other members of health care team regarding care plan and progress.

  • Completes initial evaluations within two visits for outpatients and within 24 hours for inpatients.

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and carries out daily schedule in an efficient, effective manner which ensures smooth departmental and hospital operations.

  • Provides appropriate clinical direction to assistants and aides.

  • Attends and participates in staff and hospital committee meetings and patient care conferences consistently and in a timely manner.

  • Assists in orienting and training new staff and students.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy, Masters degree preferred. Plus state licensure.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum four years experience as a staff therapist, supervisory experience preferred.
