Job Description
Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for some of the largest and most forward-thinking and desirable companies in the world to work for. The large hyperscale data center campuses we design throughout the U.S. will give you the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex engineering-driven projects being built today. As a Project Manager on our Data Center Civil Team, you will be lead entitlement, mass grading, civil design projects, and construction phase services for the team, ensuring successful project deliverables and completion for complex and high-priority projects that may span across multiple teams. This position provides project management direction to the team and ensures quality execution of key projects that provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve engineering and design needs.
Key responsibilities a Project Manager can expect in this role include:
Project Scoping and Tracking: Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and track progress to manage the financial success of projects and ensure timely completion.
Contract Negotiation: Manage complex contract negotiations with the client.
Project Execution: Lead the execution of project plans by assembling and managing project teams, coordinate availability of internal resources, and assign individual responsibilities to ensure technical skills, capabilities, and expertise align with project objectives.
Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress and measure project performance, ensuring deliverables fall within the established scope, schedule, and budget.
Change and Risk Management: Manage change requests, execute risk management techniques, and implement strategies to minimize negative financial impact on the project.
Technical Review: Coordinate detailed reviews of technical work to ensure high-quality work is being performed and the terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in the project contract are being fulfilled.
Documentation: Document all project deliverables and maintain comprehensive records, including correspondence, design plans, and other project-related files.
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to regulations and enforce safety standards.

You bring to the team:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, landscape architecture or a related area preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required
A minimum of eight years of project experience within an applicable field or discipline with increasing responsibility
Ability to thoroughly manage projects in accordance with Olsson’s PM Statement of Expectations, Project Management Development program and firmwide Quality Management Program
A proven track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations through project
management activities
Excellent client service orientation, communication, and presentation skills
Solid interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to generate innovative
and effective solutions to complex problems
Valid driver’s license and a good driving history
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required
