Crain Communications Inc. Business Analyst – Marketing/Audience Engagement in Detroit, Michigan
The Business Analyst ensures the operational efficacy and excellence of an organization. The business analyst designs and documents workflow, manages and provides solutions to new business unit ideas, trends, and concepts appropriately through the latest technological paths. They understand the customer’s business requirements and business process management and translate them to specific software requirements.
This is a full-time temporary position which offers health benefits and will have a duration of at least 3 months but no more than one year.
Collect and analyze business requirements, transferring the knowledge to development team through user stories
Evaluate the data collected through task analysis, business process, surveys and workshops
Prepare detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents
Provide clarification to the development team during the development stage of product to meet the client’s business needs
Communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements
Document results of analysis and workflows and obtain sign-off from client
Design and execute test scripts and test scenarios
Test, validate, evaluate new applications and functions, and determine issues in services and software
Define and document process and workflow experience across many functional and technical areas.
BS or BA degree in computer science, publishing, marketing or related, or equivalent working experience
Minimum three years hands-on background with marketing and technology, performing business analysis and User Story writing experience
Background working with Advantage, Clickshare, or other user registration or subscription management tools
Comfortable with development tools, such as Confluence and Jira
Some travel may be required
Background in Publishing, Marketing or Audience Development
Scrum Master Certification
This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay if you work more than 40 hours in a workweek (or 8 hours in a workday in California).
