Position Title: Data Analyst
Position Duties: Perform complex analysis of very large customer data stores and database queries in relational database management systems (Teradata, Hadoop, SQL Server and DB2) using SQL Tools such as SQL Assistant, PL/SQL and Toad; identify data patterns and trends in available information sources by performing mining and analyzing data using SQL; participate in project meetings to ensure alignment with client expectations and timelines and interact with client management to prioritize projects, tasks and deliverables; perform data analysis using appropriate tools and techniques, and interpret results and present them to the both internal and external clients, utilizing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; assess and troubleshoot data issues on multiple platforms, and recommend and document business rules required to process and store new data; interface with business partners and programming staffs to determine data-related requirements and priorities, document technical specifications and requirements, and translate them into IT specifications; test database changes prior to implantation; monitor data flows for quality issues and develop and enhance data quality reports; and perform root cause analysis and investigation on data quality issues; and create end user documentation for database operations processes.
