Fair Food Network Portfolio Manager in Detroit, Michigan

As Portfolio Manager for Fair Food Network’s impact investment fund, you will use your lending and investing experience alongside your experience working with entrepreneurs to provide a customer first environment where both FFN borrowers succeed and FFN’s mission is achieved, and financial risk is mitigated. You are an exceptional communicator who can work well at the intersection of financial strategy and customer service. You will be proactive and take the initiative to support and manage the relationships with our borrowers from loan closing until they have made their final payment. As the borrower’s main point of contact you will lead with a borrower first orientation and have the knowledge and experience to identify challenges impacting the borrowers’ business models through conversations and analysis of the borrower financial statements. Through the relationships you develop you will help the borrowers identify challenges and coordinate the technical assistance to help them overcome those obstacles. Last but not least, you will have a high level of attention to detail that will translate into smooth loan closings, trusting borrower relationships and ensure that FFN’s loan management system is maintained, accurate and up-to-date. With a portfolio of 35 enterprises and counting you will play a key role in managing the growth, strategy and risk of the FFN impact investment fund portfolio. The Portfolio Manager will report to Fair Food Network’s Director of Investments, Joel Moyer.Fair Food Network is headquartered in downtown Detroit.
