Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is looking for a Project Manager. In this position, you will work with our nationally recognized fire protection team assisting with the assembly of designs, estimates and ultimate construction across the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working closely on construction plans and specifications with clients

  • Ensuring appropriate construction materials are incorporated into designs and conducting thorough review of subcontractor/vendor shop drawings to ensure design intent is met

  • Providing technical advice to other members on the team

  • Assisting site staff in obtaining local planning and/or building regulations approval

  • Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by subcontractors and/or our own trades, specifically regarding architectural, civil and structural elements of construction

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Technology or Architecture (essential)

  • 5+ years of work experience in building construction project management and/or estimating (essential)

  • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and legal regulations

  • Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines

  • Experience with subcontractor management

  • Good communications skills and ability to communicate with customers on remote sites (travel required)

  • Three-dimensional conceptual skills
