DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Electrician - Level II performs electrical maintenance and machine support tasks to ensure equipment is operational and efficient. This role involves selecting and using appropriate tools, machinery, and specialty equipment, working with limited guidance, and adhering to safety protocols for working with electricity and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE):

  • Immediately stop work and report any major injury hazards.

  • Report work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards promptly.

  • Comply with all HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment and promote a safety-first culture.

  • Identify and mitigate hazards within control and capabilities.

  • Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of work activities.

  • Actively participate in HSE training.

Quality:

  • Apply high standards of craftsmanship in all tasks.

  • Support equipment uptime and analyze downtime failures.

  • Perform maintenance in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications using various tools and instruments.

  • Provide feedback to enhance the Preventive Maintenance system.

  • Follow all process documentation and quality procedures to ensure adherence.

  • Perform quality inspections and raise issues to minimize costs and exposures.

Delivery:

  • Execute electrical repairs and maintenance on manufacturing equipment.

  • Demonstrate competency in core work skills and document preventive, corrective, emergency, and predictive maintenance activities.

  • Ensure conformance with applicable codes and standards for electrical systems.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks.

  • Identify and address manufacturing constraints and assist in process improvements.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to meet business objectives.

Teamwork:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Certification: Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Control.

  • Licenses: May require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires some prior work experience or intermediate knowledge acquired through education, training, or on-the-job practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience Needed:

Hands on Allen Bradley, Fanuc. Siemens, Mitsubishi is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance with 100% compliance.

  • Breakdown Maintenance: Address day-to-day breakdowns related to electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to maintain 98% plant uptime.

  • Corrective Maintenance: Perform root cause analysis (e.g., Why-Why) for breakdowns and safety issues, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Spare Management: Plan and manage inventory to maintain minimum stock levels.

  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain maintenance reports and shift-wise records.

  • Safety Compliance: Implement LOTO procedures, machine interlock checks, and perform crane and hoist health checks.

  • Control & Electrical Engineering: - should be able to modify logic in CNC& PLC whenever required for small improvements, should be able to understand Electrical drawing, RLC and should be able to demonstrate efficient troubleshooting skills.
