Ion Field Services, LLC Financial Controller in Dickinson, North Dakota

Job Summary:

Oversee all financial aspects of the organization and play a key role in shaping its financial strategies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage and lead all aspects of an accounting department
  • Utilize logistics software and tools to track and analyze key performance indicators
  • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, costs, and operational efficiencies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes and reduce costs
  • Identify trends and opportunities
  • Prepare and publish timely, monthly and quarterly financial statements and tax filings
  • Prepare A/R, A/P and weekly cash flow reports
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Support with Financial institutions, CPAs and auditors
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets
  • Must be exceptionally organized and able to handle multiple projects at once with concurrent deadlines

  • Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance

  • CPA (Preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (US GAAP)
  • Knowledgeable in budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends and make strong profitable recommendations based on analysis
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks
  • and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred
  • CPA (Preferred)
  • Proven work experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical devices

  • Diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions and take corrective action

  • Use precision, maintain and repair instrumentation
  • Perform all other installation duties as needed
  • Works under the direct guidance of journeyman and master electricians responsible for the project
  • Conduct work in accordance with relevant codes, and customer specifications
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you collaborate with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs
  • Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending
