Job Summary and Qualifications
EMT A PRN for Free Standing ED
To provide quality BLS and emergency care to patients requiring procedures in accordance with established Tennessee Department of Health EMS Division scope of practice and hospital credentialing. To provide safe and effective transportation of patients to and from predetermined locations. To ensure emergency vehicles and equipment are maintained and in a state of readiness at all times. Employee will be accountable to exemplifying excellent service behavior to patients, clients, visitors, physicians, co-workers, vendors; show courtesy, personalized attention, respect, compassion and timely responsiveness to all customers at all times.
Major Responsibilities:
Quality

Provide safe and effective transportation of patients to and from predetermined locations using all established laws, policies, and procedures set forth by the State of Tennessee DOT and Tennessee Department of Health.

To provide quality BLS and emergency care to patients requiring procedures in accordance with established Tennessee Department of Health EMS Division scope of practice and hospital credentialing.

What qualifications you will need:
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT)
Completion of Accredited EMT-A Training Program Required National Registered EMT-A License Required Tennessee Drivers License Required BLS Tennessee EMT-A License BLS PHTLS Tennessee Class D Driver’s License Required
