Position Summary:
Under direction of Plant Manager and/or Production Manager, aids in coordinating leads and teams to focus on safety, quality, schedule and budget with float production,
assembly, storage and shipping. Demonstrating follow through with implementation and sustainment in mind. Providing added oversight on work performed with the use of positive feedback with interdepartmental issues in mind. Candidates will be required to pass a preemployment drug screen and participate in random drug screening per our Drug Free
Workplace policy. Candidates will be required to complete an administrative background screen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps to lead the activities of leads engaged in casting, fabrication, subassembly, storage and shipping; troubleshoots production issues. Aids in monitoring operation of production methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and Company policies.
- Coordinates with Production Manager to help with oversight on preventive maintenance throughout plant with equipment and batch plant in mind.
- Provides oversight with effective interdepartmental communication to aid in the workflow from production of floats to storage.
- Running a Safety huddle with leads at start of shift to cover pertinent safety issues and the goal for the day, getting a snapshot of manpower and escalating if needed.
- Aid and oversight with QC, Plant and/or Production Managers with any Critical Path issues, quality or otherwise.
- Exercising decision making skills for delegation of tasks between leads to help in closing the gap between departments with the goal of being ahead of schedule.
- Using write-ups, verbal or written as a tool for documenting and changing unwanted behaviors that effect safety, quality and moral.
- Reviews production drawings, specifications and other documents and inspects products to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Work with General Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager, Casting Leads and QC in providing positive feedback during Job review meetings and Safety meetings.
- Learns and applies safety rules and techniques including ISO9000 standards.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Compensation:
BMI offers a competitive wage and benefits package; Hourly wage between $32.00 - $36.00 per hour dependent upon experience.
