Abbott Ireland Diabetes Care Division Donegal
The Abbott Diabetes Care division based in Donegal Town manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Recipe Author to create and update recipes for POMS Manufacturing Execution System.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Support computer software validation activities.
Data and IT infrastructure set-up to support Production and Project activities.
Equipment Mechanical build and Electrical build support.
Support existing data processes integrated with production equipment and create new data processes as required.
Interface with the business to understand data needs.
Work with production support teams to triage data related issues and drive to resolution
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES ​REQUIRED
Bachelor or higher degree in Electronic / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience.
2+ years of recent experience
Understanding of programming (Windows based programs) and Capability to adapt to programs.
Ability to read existing codes (Scripting, PTL, C#).
Experience of PLC programming and integration with database technology
Knowledge and understanding of relational databases technology (working knowledge of Oracle or SQL server preferable)
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
Analyse data requirements with relevant business teams to propose process improvements which may influence architectural implementations
Knowledge and experience of working with large transactional datasets
Experience with data technologies to enable data analytics from a production environment.
