Menzies Aviation BTW Trainer | YUL | Full-time in Dorval, Quebec

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support corporate compliance with applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.

  • Support employees and supervisors in undertaking the proactive and preventative measures necessary to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation as it applies to them.

  • Assist where necessary to complete investigations and reporting compliance to Sr. Management Team.

  • Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management.

  • Participate in Training audits daily/monthly/annually and provide corrective action assistance to management.

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments, accident investigations health and safety inspections as required by the Training and/or Safety Manager.

  • Provide new hire and annual recurrent training for all station personnel.

  • Maintain compliance with all government, customer and company policies/procedures.

  • Ensure Daily attendance is completed and send to Management.

  • Ensure all new hires and current employees are signed off to complete all tasks that are required in their specific job roles.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Ensure Training is completed based on Airline and Menzies Aviation Training Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Must have and maintain a valid DA/AVOP and Transport Canada Security Clearance.

  • Previous experience on YYZ airport tarmac is mandatory.

  • Thorough Knowledge and understating of Menzies Aviation AGOM

  • Thorough Knowledge and understanding of Airline GOM

  • During Probation you will be required to familiarize yourself with all Training methods including:

  • In Class Training

  • On the Job Training

  • Menzies Learner Management System (LMS)

  • Employee recertification.

  • High school diploma and minimum three years of experience in ramp/cargo operations.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word programs.

  • Ability to drive safety van and truck from one work site to another as needed.

  • A working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.

  • Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.

  • Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.

  • Experience of Health and Safety management.

  • Thorough understanding of Airline and Menzies Aviation Training requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required
