Description of Job

The Faculty Compensation and Credentialing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Instructional Operations Department by overseeing critical functions related to faculty and instructor records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external guidelines from agencies such as the Higher Learning Commission, Colorado Community College System, and Career and Technical Education (CTE) requirements. This role involves managing faculty load and compensation processes, streamlining credentialing workflows, and providing training and support for faculty and instructional personnel.

Key responsibilities include acting as a subject matter expert in faculty load and compensation processes, managing workflows and timelines for instructional assignments, coordinating credentialing for CTE programs, and ensuring compliance through efficient systems and reporting. The Coordinator also handles payroll troubleshooting, maintains sensitive records, and analyzes data to generate reports to support data-driven decision-making.

In the area of credentialing, the Coordinator leads efforts to ensure compliance with CTE guidelines by overseeing the credentialing of faculty and instructors, streamlining application reviews, and maintaining efficient processes. This role involves close collaboration with Human Resources to keep faculty records up-to-date and accurate, as well as submitting compliance reports to meet CTE requirements.

Additionally, the Coordinator develops and delivers training resources on faculty load, compensation, and credentialing processes, ensuring department chairs and instructional personnel are well-equipped to manage assignments. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to design and implement effective, scalable solutions for institutional success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience with databases and data analysis.

  • Experience managing multiple projects.

  • Experience with process improvement efforts.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft software programs (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher education experience, specifically within Academic Affairs.

  • Experience with Banner or similar student information system.

  • Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills when working with customers or other College constituents.

  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
