Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Wax Inspector to join our Howmet Casting located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Midnight position are Sunday night - Thursday night 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM. Training on Day Shift M-F 6:30A - 2:30P
New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: $21.67; After 12 Months: $24.22
Position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift

JOB SUMMARY
Inspect and make repairs to wax patterns using appropriate tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Perform subassembly of wax setups.
• Inspect and make repairs to wax patterns using appropriate tools.
• Ability to read and interpret job instructions.
• Work in a safe manner, consistent with company regulations.
• Maintain clean workstations.
• Has nonconforming product disposition authority within the scope of this job description.
• Review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement within the scope of this job description.
• Do Core Prep.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect and correct imperfections on materials with very low strength (wax patterns and cores). Improper handling results in high scrap rates.
• Must be flexible. Job duties range from wax inspection to core prep, filling and parts and helix attachment.
• Able to fabricate patterns to match samples or instructions consistently.
• Ability to read and interpret job instructions and job samples.
• Soft handling of patterns and cores, to perform task without disturbing original shape of unfinished product.
• Ability to work well with others in a flow line type work environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITES
• Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principles.
• Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
• Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Attend all EHS training.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within a 50 miles radius of Dover NJ will only be considered.
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
