Title :Director of Project Management

Location : Doylestown, Pennsylvania

SPECIFIC CAPABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of Project Management is a leader that can inspire and build a team that will offer excellence in physician and patient recruitment and project management to deliver value to clients and drive profitability across projects. We are looking for an individual that will drive greater efficiency, train team members in project management, develop team members to be curious, to problem solve and to be strategic partners for our project teams and clients to

establish best practices for efficient recruiting of all audiences and project execution. They must have strong communication skills and be able to make decisions confidently. As the Director of PM, specific responsibilities will include recruiting and developing team members, building team confidence and morale, driving industry partnership to optimize fieldwork partners for a specific client need, coaching the team to work with clients and understanding their specific requirements, optimal vendor/field agency selection along with oversight and review, and ensuring that delivery of our projects are within timeline, budget and

scope.

Leadership and Mentorship -

• Able to align the team to achieve strategic goals of proactively partnering with project teams to lead to project success, drive value to clients and achieve profit goals

• Invigorate the team with a “can do” attitude and empower the team to be solution oriented to solve fielding challenges/sample/quota challenges.

• Drive team cohesion and synergy leveraging individual employee strengths in the best way to foster excellence in project management.

• Develop individuals to seek and build a PM career at Adelphi and drive growth and development. Exhibits managerial courage providing both positive and critical feedback to team members to foster growth and development.

• Preparation and oversight for internal/external audits.

Project Management Skills -

• Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative project management for pharma projects

• Knowledge of both US and Global fieldwork codes of conduct and legal requirements.

• Develops an ethos of proactivity in the team so each team member anticipates project and client needs at every step of the project to deliver projects on time and on budget including:

o Coaches team to review RFPs and participates in development of effective sample plans and timelines for proposals

o Coaches team to challenge vendors on sample feasibility and timeline, as appropriate

o Coaches team members to be an internal expert on how to optimize recruitment across the project lifecycle from initial sampling plan through timely delivery

o Coaches team members on contingency planning, and optimal communication with vendors and internal/external clients bringing forward problem solving strategies to address issues

o Coaches team members to write and review screeners to optimize them for recruitment needs

o Coaches team members to be lead internal and external discussions about recruiting trade-offs to guide recruitment strategy

o Post project coach team to critically evaluate sample achievement and vendors to identify / inform vendor selection for further projects and identify

best practices

o Develops and socializes new processes to ensure consistent delivery of quality recruits

• Develops efficiencies and best practices for PM excellence for delivering projects on time and within budget

• Build expertise in the team to identify the right fieldwork and platform vendors and to have expertise to articulate use cases, strengths and weaknesses of various vendors, consults with project teams and clients to identify the right vendors and platforms based on project needs.

• Build expertise within the PM team to liaise with budgeting teams to provide input on sample plan and timeline and appropriate challenge/push back on vendors on timelines and sample.

Vendor Relationships -

• Efficient and effective management of Adelphi sub-contractors (Recruitment vendors, facility management, teleconference/web, and other specialty services such as online platforms/recruiters/programmers)

• Vetting/selection of new vendors to ensure they are compliant with Adelphi’s standards, and market research codes of conduct and regulations

• Builds and expands current vendor relationships and identifies expertise of each vendor and leverages it appropriately for the right projects Client Relationships.

Understanding of specific client costing requirements and assurance they are followed through on each project.

• Knowledge and understanding of specific client overall project MSA/NDA requirements.

• Coaching the PM team to understand their role in maintaining client relationships Budgeting (nice to have)

• Coach and develop the budgeting team providing input on budgets and pricing of studies both in terms of labor input and external costs

• Coach project managers to provide input for budgets through selection of field vendors and to push back on fieldwork agencies as needed

• Create efficiencies in budgeting to accelerate budget development

• Create benchmarks to evaluate budgets by in terms of CPI, guidelines for contribution and profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 10+ years of project management experience preferred

• Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Industry knowledge

• Strong leadership skills building empowered teams

• Budget management skills (nice to have but not necessary)

• Mentoring/Training of a team

• Strong communication/interpersonal skills

• Skillful in giving both positive and critical feedback to team members, and in

writing/delivering insightful performance appraisals.

• Ability to make decisions, problem-solve, take responsibility, and be adaptable.

• Ability to work well in a team environment.

• Good organizational skills, combined with the ability to prioritize potentially

conflicting work demands.

• Knowledgeable in related and applicable platforms, fieldwork agencies, specialty

recruiters.

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

  • $120,000 - $150,000
