About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager-Leisure to join Zabeel House by Jumeirah the Greens. The main purpose of the role is to assist in leading the SBU's segmented sales effort for Leisure market preferably in a 4* hotels category. Responsible for increasing preference, loyalty and profitable share within assigned Leisure accounts and contribute to overall Sales Team success through the direct sales efforts of revenue generation and value creation. Executes the overall account strategy for assigned Leisure accounts to generate and maximize business.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Ensure comprehensive and complete coverage of own portfolio, covering all levels of accounts managerial and departmental executives for a comprehensive client servicing, achieving the set targets and maximum productivity
Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue
Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
Responsible for 100% account penetration by establishing close relationships at all levels within the assigned accounts
Gains understanding of the location’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams
Negotiate room rates/packages with Leisure clients
Provide feedback on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation telephone and direct mail in its market areas
Keep fully updated of all related sales data and plan sales activities keeping in mind cost/benefit, cost of sale and ROI analyses.
Plan and conduct customer entertainments / outlet experiences across the SBUs within the cluster
Develop and implement creative local marketing channels, including social media channels
Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
Implement and execute all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set.
Establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices with customers for transient and group business
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, road shows, exhibitions, trade shows, etc.
Managing Leisure accounts within the Sales & Marketing department and possibly working with local and international travel agents/ tour operators, conference-meeting-incentive organizers/DMC for individual and group bookings.
Maintain comprehensive awareness of all SBUs needs (including promotions, offers, USPs, IVTs), Leisure market trends, account market share and customer needs
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position in Dubai
Proven Leisure Account Management experience
Hospitality sales experience within 4* hotel industry in the Middle East
Strong sales and presentation skills.
Commercially (targets and results) focused
Organized and disciplined, dedicated and loyal
Friendly, pleasant and easy to be around, draw energy from being with others
Business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
Segment knowledge + skills including principled negotiation, contracting and service level agreements
Work under pressure to meet deadlines
Desirable:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
Experience with Data analysis and interpretation
