About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Head Guest Relations Executive to join our team in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab . The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Oversee a team of hostesses, ensuring they adhere to the Restaurant Reservations Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and optimizing table allocation and guest flow.

  • Maintain a continuous presence at the restaurant hostess desk to warmly and promptly welcome all guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth flow of guest seating and service.

  • Manage dining reservations and coordinate special F&B events for guests, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration with restaurant staff and other departments.

  • Accurately assess guest needs and expectations, including those with special requirements, and provide personalized recommendations and assistance, demonstrating a thorough understanding of menu offerings and dietary preferences.

  • Ensure all guest needs and requests are promptly met within established timeframes, consistently delivering exceptional service and hospitality.

  • Possess extensive knowledge of all in-house services, including dining options, amenities, and local area information, to provide comprehensive assistance and enhance the guest experience.

  • Demonstrate in-depth familiarity with the menu to confidently address guest inquiries, recommend dishes, and highlight current specials or promotions, contributing to increased guest satisfaction and sales.

  • Answer incoming calls within three rings using the JI Standard script, delivering professional and informative responses to guest inquiries, reservation requests, and other inquiries.

  • Monitor and maintain the hostess desk area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with grooming and uniform standards.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year and six months of experience as a hostess, in a reputable hospitality brand or a standalone restaurant is required for this role.

  • Excellent communication abilities to greet guests, understand their preferences, and relay information to the F&B team.

  • Proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented by proficiency with a second language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, German, Mandarin, and/or Greek).

  • Impeccable grooming and professional appearance, adhering to the restaurant's uniform and elevated grooming standards.

  • Ideally previous experience in a leadership role, overseeing a team of hostesses or similar direct reports, demonstrating managerial and team coordination skills.
