Job Overview
Senior Process Engineer with hands-on Offshore Process Facility design experience at EPC level. Facilities to be designed will be Greenfield Oil Wellhead Platforms with producer and water injection wells, Water Injection Platform and Pipelines. Brownfield engineering of existing facilities will be part of the EPC project scope as well.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Prepare and check deliverables assigned on the project.
Keep the Lead Process Engineer appraised of activities and concerns.
Establish and maintain technical and professional standards within his project group.
Maintain close co-ordination with PMT, other discipline leads and key personnel, planning and third parties / client through PMT for successful execution of the project.
Work together with the Lead Process Engineer in training and development of other process engineers.
Assist the Process Engineering Supervisor in bids, projects and development activities.
Participate in internal, client and third party technical audit on engineering deliverables and vendor documents.
Become fully familiar with scope of work. Monitor changes to scope and raises change notifications

Responsible for carrying out all tasks assigned by the Lead Process Engineer on a project.
Review scope of work and highlight any major concerns at the outset of the project by apprising the Lead Process Engineer.
Liaise with PMT and other discipline engineers on the project on a continual basis.
Process engineering, being an upstream discipline, assist the lead process engineer in briefing / making presentations to other disciplines at the beginning of the project to apprise the project goals and philosophies.
Responsible for preparing / checking the following key deliverables, applicable as per the project scope, as assigned by the Lead Engineer
Process simulations / heat and material balance
Process design basis
Piping and instrumentation diagrams
Process safeguarding diagram
Major equipment and instrument process datasheets
Operating philosophy and operating manual
Equipment and instrument process datasheets
Equipment list
Line list
Flare radiation and dispersion calculations
Depressurisation and flare network study
Equipment and line sizing calculations
Fluid list
Provide process assistance to other disciplines by performing IDC / providing inputs as required for the following activities, as assigned by the Lead Process Engineer
Layout review
Area classification drawings
Safety studies
Electrical load list
Equipment data sheets
Instrument datasheets
ESD and F&G logic diagrams and control narratives
Participation in vendor selection for various equipment, provide inputs to RFQ, TBE.
Participate in discussions with the equipment vendors along with package engineers
Provide input for purchase spec preparation
Technical co-ordination with outside agencies for third party studies.
Provide assistance to precommissioning and commissioning on process related site queries.
Assume the responsibilities of the Lead Engineer in his absence
Assist Lead Engineer in close out of HAZOP action items.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
BS Degree in Chemical / Petroleum Engineering
M. S. in Chemical Engineering preferred
10 + years in offices contractor / consultant associated with the oil and gas industry
Significant knowledge of process engineering activities for oil and gas facilities. Knowledge of international codes and standards.
Strong recent experience in Process simulations tools such as HYSYS and Hydraulic simulation tools such as Flare Analyzer, PIPESIM, and PIPENET
