About the Job: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Team Leader in Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
Job Purpose: To work on a rotation basis within the Housekeeping department, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and adhering to the standards required by the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
Always provide courteous and professional service.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
Ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of the assigned areas.
Assign responsibilities to subordinates and check their work performance.
Supervise, coordinate, and participate in the cleanliness of all public areas, ensuring the highest possible standard of cleanliness.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas.
Ensure all machines are in working condition.
Schedule necessary preventive maintenance and repair works with engineering.
Ensure Housekeeping Attendants exercise proper discipline and courtesy in attending to guest needs and requests.
Control the consumption of cleaning supplies and supervise adequate stocking of cleaning supplies.
Be familiar with the hotel's policies relating to fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
Report to engineering work orders and follow up on completion.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years in an international 5-star hotel property.
Experience in training and all areas of Housekeeping Divisions.
Effective communication with guests and strong interpersonal skills.
Leadership experience is an asset.
Experience with the opening of a hotel (desirable).
Multi-skilled (desirable).
Competencies:
Knowledge of Opera and HotSOS.
Basic computer knowledge.
Knowledge about cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Ability to take initiatives, display leadership, solve problems, delegate tasks, prioritize, and set goals.
